Nurturing the upcoming generation of storytellers among our community, guiding them from imagination to realization.

We have faith in the transformative potential of photography. Yet, beyond this, our faith rests in the potential of our young minds. This is why we view photography as a gateway to curiosity, exploration, and unveiling one's true self. Through fostering a secure and all-encompassing environment, we offer free photography education coupled with guidance, nurturing tomorrow's artists and visionaries.

Photography instils essential 21st-century skills, known as the 6 C’s: Computer/Digital literacy, Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Confidence.

Supporting our programs and services

As a nonprofit organization, we will rely on donations, grants, and other forms of fundraising to support our programs and operations. We will seek funding from local businesses, corporations, and individual donors who share our mission and believe in the power of creativity to transform lives.

Our budget will cover expenses related to equipment, supplies, rent for our classroom space, marketing and outreach, and staff salaries. We will prioritize keeping our expenses low to ensure that the majority of our funding goes towards providing free classes and support to our students.

Programming

  • Beginning Digital Photography

    In this foundational course, students will acquire fundamental skills in operating DSLR cameras, engage with post-production editing software, and participate in collaborative visual art critiques with fellow peers.

  • Intermediate Digital Photography

    By employing the foundational elements of an introductory digital photography class, young participants are motivated to focus on a theme throughout the duration of the course. This culminates in the creation of two final prints that harmonize within a series.

  • Beginning Film Photography

    Acquire the skills of capturing, processing, and producing black and white film photographs. Gain proficiency in operating a film camera, utilizing a light meter, and employing diverse composition techniques.
